It has a deep ruby colour with garnet tints; intense and elegant with red plum and dried violet notes and balanced by a wide range of spices. Powerful nature and structured full body. Enhanced by decanting and best enjoyed with meat dishes, hearty pasta dishes, strong hard cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano and Pecorino and cured meats such as salami.
