ABOUT OUR GELATO & SORBET EXPERIENCES
A TASTY RETREAT FROM THE SUMMER HEAT
There’s nothing better than savouring a delicious gelato or sorbet to cool down in the Italian Summer heat; even more so, when you’ve made it yourself!
Upon arriving at our outdoor kitchen in our garden, you will harvest fresh fruits and herbs and you will learn how to make one gelato and one sorbet variety using our professional gelato making machine, participating to prepare each flavor and garnishes, while enjoying brunch/aperitivo with beverages.
While the gelato is churning, relax in our garden dining area and sample a range of other gelato/sorbet combination flavours before the freshly prepared gelato and sorbet are ready to enjoy with a cone, cup or waffle.
We use our organic homegrown fruits (think hand picked lemons, figs, apricots, plums, grapefruits, melons and even prickly pears), or experience our other favourite flavours such as chocolate, vanilla, caffé, limoncello, nuts or even Torta Caprese.
Learn how to make both sweet flavour combinations and/or savoury palate cleanser sorbets (think creative parsley, mint, rosemary, cucumber, basil and tomato combinations) depending upon our seasonal produce.
TIMES AND DURATION
Group gelato & sorbet workshops are held on Saturdays only. Private workshops can be organised by appointment.
You can reserve your gelato and sorbet experience at 10am, 2pm or 6pm and each workshop generally runs for 2 hours.
PRIVATE OR GROUP WORKSHOPS
Our private workshop enables you to tailor any of the gelato and sorbet flavours and enjoy a private hands-on gelato and sorbet workshop in an intimate setting.
Our group workshop enables you to meet other people while you learn to make gelato and sorbet and enjoy a flavour bursting tasting session.
Our gelato and sorbet workshop experience includes guest participation while making one gelato and one sorbet variety, along with:
- Brunch/antipasti platter
- Aperitivo – alcoholic or non alcoholic beverages
- Garden tour and harvest of fruit, vegetables and herbs
- Tasting platter of various gelato and sorbet varieties
- Gelato and sorbet recipes
- Digital photos upon request
- Private transfer to and from our garden villa
Private workshop – €150 per person.
Group workshop – €125 per person.
Gelato & sorbet workshop experiences are limited to a minimum of 2 and maximum of 20 people. Bookings are essential and must be made no later than 24 hours before the experience, subject to availability.
While we accept reservations for 1 guest in our group workshop , we reserve the right to cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled workshop should no other guests join the workshop.
For private workshops, you can specify your private transfer pick up at your hotel, nearest private parking station, the port or other agreed location.
For group workshops, there are 2 private transfer meeting points:
- Capri – Piazza Europa Private Parking Station, Via Roma, Capri (opposite the Limoncello di Capri store and Bar Europa); and
- Anacapri – Piazza della Pace Bus Stop, Viale De Tommaso, Anacapri (the bus terminal for the Blue Grotto/Lighthouse).
Private transfer pick ups are organised 15 minutes prior to the commencement of your scheduled workshop. Private transfer is also organised at the conclusion of your workshop.
